By cropping the sentence short ('I want you' instead of 'I want you for the U.S Army), the image has lost some of its original paternalistic and patriotic charge. The 'I' that is left when combined with a forshortened phallic finger and a rather sultry expression suggest that a personal relationship coupled with an intimate encounter may be desired.
